Do you, or anyone you know, suffer from being vertically challenged? Have you ever spent hours in a chair where your feet don't quite touch the ground, leading to discomfort and pain that can cause long-term issues? It's easy to solve this at home, but what about on the go?
This is the new and improved version 2 of my tiny ultraportable foot stool! Only 6 x 5 inches and a little bit over 2" tall with legs upright and under 1" tall with legs stowed, it fits easily in a handbag or small purse. It's perfect for restaurants, meetings, conferences, basically anywhere that you don't have control over your seating arrangement.
The big improvement with this version is that the legs lock into place in both the stowed and upright positions, solving the issue of a friction fit losing grippiness over time. The legs also have indentations on all four faces so you don't have to fumble with them to align the locking mechanism. Thanks to my wife for the real world trial and error!
IMPORTANT - this is not meant to be a ‘step up’ type full weight-bearing stool… that is, it's not meant for a person to stand on. It can easily handle the weight for its intended use, but it would require a redesign to support the full weight of a human.

The print profile has the top surface facing down providing a great textured surface on the gold PEI plate. Manual supports are added for the round leg-locking protrusions and fins, I suggest prying them out with a small screwdriver. Once you can depress the locking mechanism it'll work fine. You can also attempt to print it without supports which will probably be functional, you really only need two fins on each side for functionality. I suggest ABS or ASA, possibly PETG. You want the flexible fins to remain flexible.
Also note that the print profile is set at 0.16mm layers, 0.20 also works great if time is of the essence.
