3D model description

I designed this lead screw nut to replace the nylon nut pressed into the end of the aluminum winding tube. The nut and lead screw were stripped/worn out on one of my motorized Bali Blinds. Bali parts was able to provide me with new clear plastic lead screws but I was on my own for the nut.

You will need to carefully drill out and completely remove the nylon nut and replace it with the new 3D printed leadscrew nut. The new nut it a snug fit in the winding tube (lightly tap it in with a small hammer if needed). I put a little glue on it for good measure but it probably doesn't need any.

IMPORTANT: You will need to buy a #10-24 Left Hand Tap. Yes, it is a left hand thread! I found one on Amazon (see picture for details). The 3D printed nut is ready to tap. I used PETG material for the nut and it is working well.

3D printing settings

Printed with 100% infill. No Supports. 0.2mm layer height. PETG material. 4 perimeters. FDM or Resin pr.int
