Suggested by my new friend FedeMiller, this is a portable version of my micro SD card index rack with a strong base and lid that can hold 3 inch by 5 inch index cards for notation of the micro SD card contents.
The same 48-slot unit that fits the desktop stand will slide into this case, even if it is populated with SD cards, and is held securely by a snap-rail when the index base id slid forward, and is locked in place by the rear of the lid when it is closed.
The lid pivots on the base with two pins that are glued into place when the lid is assembled to the base.
The thicknesses of the base and lid were worked out through trial and error to print well without warping when printing ABS using the gyroid infill at 25%. Other materials and infills may work, but I recommend using the lowest bed temperature possible while still maintaining good bed adhesion for best results.
Supports are necessary only for supporting the hinge pin holes.
