Attribution and Overview

This is an alternative spring part for the “Adjustable Fidget Toggle Switch” by Kriswillcode. I believe I am sharing this in the same way as it is being shared, as requested. This is non-commercial. You will need all the other parts from Kriswillcode to make the full model, this is just the spring piece.

By adding 6 small ridges onto the spring piece, it stops the slider from moving back into the middle position as you repeatedly toggle the switch. There are five actual positions you can have it the slider in, and the position closest the switch is slightly back from flush. That is just the way it turned out, and I'm ok with it. If you are particularly OCD you might not feel that this is “perfect”, if so, let me know and I might spend the time dialing it in to change this. Even still, it is nice to not have it move once you set it. It is a small part, and a quick print, so perhaps give it a go?

To Print

You need to print these on their SIDE, which is a bit tricky as it is a thin print. Watch your first layer, if that is good you should be ok. It still has good strength as it is linear with the filament. You can't lay it flat, as that is where these ridges are. You need to print two of them per model.

Install

Same instructions as normal, with the slight exception that the slider piece has internally a ridge that you can orientate forward or back. I have mine with the ridge towards the switch, and that seems to work quite well. My advice is to test the function of it before applying the top shell as this is fairly permanent once tightly pressed on. I believe it will work both ways, so if you have put it together already that's probably fine too.
