Description

Eyes Up Guardian!

Following on from the success of my previous ghost, I wanted to add a version that was less complicated and easy to make and utilised these Battery powered LED Candles and still be compatible with the previous Crucible Ghost Shell.

There is a slot for the Battery LED Candle in the Rear Eye, I also added a 10mm Neodymium magnet to help hold it in place so it doesn't fall out while you move it around.

Bill of Materials

Assembly

  1. Print all the files, you'll need a Front and Rear Ghost shell (you can also use the Crucible Shell from my other Ghost), Front and Rear eye, eye diffuser, 4x wing tips, 4 x wing covers and a mount and base.
  2. Insert 2 x 3mm magnets into each hole on the front and rear shells, make sure to get the polarity correct before inserting them, its nearly impossible to get them back out.
  3. Slot the Rear eye into the Rear Shell, Front Eye into Front Shell, add a few dabs of CA glue on the tabs on the eye parts
  4. Glue diffuser into Front Eye
  5. Glue 10mm magnet into rear eye,
  6. Attach wing covers by sliding them gently over
  7. insert wing tips, they should friction fit but add a dab of glue if they are loose.
  8. Glue Base Mount into Base, if you want you could probably print as a single piece, but depending on your printer and filament you may need supports.
  9. Turn on LED Candle and slot into rear eye, attach the two ghost halves together, sit on base and Enjoy!

If there are any other props of models you'd like to see, just leave a comment and I'll do my best.

Failed the same part twice. .2 layers PLA+ I have made a test cut and trying several variations of printing just the top decal portion of the eye. If i get a good print I will add a print profile. any feedback from creator would be great on how you got that part to print clean.

Hey Mate, Not to sure what you issue might be, it always prints fine for me. I use normal, snug supports on just the default settings with Bambu Lab Black Matte PLA, also using the default filament Bambu Lab matte PLA profile. It's the exact same model as my Crucible Ghost. What support type are you using and what is the support Z distance? Also what filament are you using? I have found that with some PLA+ it's really hard to remove supports because of the layer adhesion, so you could look at increasing your support Z distance. Other than that I am not sure, on my printed models the eye section isn't fragile and I just pull the supports right off and haven't broken it.
