Product Description
This "Small Boar" figurine is based on a sculpture I completed in July 2013. The name of the sculpture is "Torc" and it represents a Celtic Guardian Boar Spirit (Keltic Cuomhnoir Torc Sidhe... as best as I can figure in Irish Gaelic). "Torc" is a very lean, muscular boar figurine with Celtic symbols displayed on its body. (ForeHead: 7-pointed 'Elven' star; Chest: Triskele; Neck: A traditional 'Torc' jewelry piece; Tail: Brigid Celtic Knot; Rear Quarter: Triple Moon; Phallus: Head of Cernunnos with Tree of Life; Mane: Erect perforated crest as seen on Celtic bronzes; Shoulder: Infinity whorl as seen on the 'Basse Yutz Flagons' in the British Museum/London.
The accompanying 'Small Base' was created to underlie the 'Small Boar' while presenting a 'La Tene' period motif derived from the topmost pattern covering the 'Turoe Stone' of Ireland.
