3D model description

This is a carbine kit for the AAP-01 and the SSX23.
Both versions are available in this file, so two carbine kits for the price of one!

It is heavily inspired by a game skin of the VXH-D3 from Battlefield 2042.
So i have chosen to call the two carbine kits for VHX-AAP01 and VXH-SSX23

The kit is designed so you only need to slide the airsoft pistol into the carbine kit and then close it in. It is a snug fit and sits very stable in the carbine kit. No modification on your airsoft replicas are needed. The kit itself feels sturdy as well.

As it is a carbine kit for two different replicas, I have split all the files into 3 different folders.
AAP-01 files
SSX23 files
Universal files

The universal files work on both versions of course and almost all files have different versions so you can mix and match your look on the carbine kit.

I designed this to use threaded heat inserts, but have made a version which takes M4 nuts instead that you have to glue in. But I recommend using the threaded heat inserts.

I recommend this kit for those who want to run your favorite airsoft pistols in a different look, a little futuristic and unique for the airsoft field.
I designed this so that the highpower version of the SSX23 can fit into it. So it makes a great DMR build. Or an assault rifle kit for the AAP-01.

There is a space in the front for using silencer foam if you want to make your carbine a little quieter. Works great with the SSX23.

The picatinny rail comes in two versions, standard size and one with longer partitions, for a cleaner look. It is also designed to take a couple 4mm metal rods inside of it so it is stronger.

The print is easy, it needs supports at some critical points, i recommend using tree/organic supports. The prints take a long time as it is rather large.
Some files are too big for the standard 220x220x250 build volume of a Ender 3 printer. But all files that are too large for that build volume have versions that have been split apart that you can then glue together.

Both pistols need to be stock outside to fit inside.

I have plans to make a hole for the AAP01 TDC once I get my hands on it.
The SSX23 version already has a hole that makes the hopup accessible from outside the carbine kit.

The .ZIP file there is a PDF with build instructions and recommendations for print directions.
I also include all the info you need for what screws, nuts and stuff you need.

A couple of the files are included as a STEP file if you want to modify them yourself. It is the fake mags and the front CCW threaded cap.

3D printing settings

I print with 4 walls at .4mm width per wall.
1.2mm thick bottom and top.
10-30% infill depending on the part. I use a gyroid pattern.
0.2 layer height. (0.1 for a couple parts)
Use supports where needed.
Generally round holes don’t need support.
You know your material the best.
I printed with X-PLA by add:north.
Choose what you think is the best material for you.
