Description

I wanted to mount the AMS Lite on the wall above my A1. I therefore designed a wall bracket and decided to make it a bit more interesting by using generative design to come up with a bracket that's strong enough to hold a loaded AMS Lite.

The bracket is over engineered, it's designed to take a 10Kg load and has a factor of safety of 2. I've used PETG. If you print in an alternative material I see no issue but please consider doing your own tests to ensure you're happy to hang your AMS Lite on the wall. I have uploaded print profiles for PLA as well but this is untested by me.

The bracket is designed with M3 countersunk holes. If you'd prefer an alternative size I can make the modification. You could use another of my uploads to create a modifier for M4 is necessary. https://makerworld.com/en/models/52167

I've uploaded a pdf of the bracket with the hole centres. You can print this at 100% on A4 paper and use to mark out your holes for drilling. I've positioned the top of the mount 75cm from my desk surface. Using the drawing, position the bottom of the paper level with the top of the A1 frame and use the centre line to position in the middle. This should give you a good position for making your mounting holes in the wall. I hope I've explained that correctly.

works like a charm. if the screw holes don't align, flip the mount around and they line up! used basic PLA to print this..

Thanks for sharing the make. Which holes don't align, the ones that fix to the AMS? Admittedly I only tried it one way but assume that the AMS is symmetrical and the mounting part of the bracket is.

yes, the screws that connect to the ams. I just assumed it was just like the original mount it comes it, needed to be a certain way :)

I'll double check mine, I have the cable coming out closer to the printer which I assume most people would. It means the numbers are reversed compared to the screen which I hope Bambu fix in future FW as most wall mounts would be like this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will let you know if any revisions result from this :)

nice design, screw holes could be a bit larger

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. It was designed to take the load if you rotate 180 degrees, however it should be plenty strong enough that way. What size holes do you think I should adapt for? I could share alternative versions.

I'm aware that it's upside down, otherwise it wouldn't fit with the tiles and the height of the printer ;) I used langer screws so it works for the load, therefore a diameter of 5mm would be perfect.

Very nice design. I like the distance it stands from the wall, just right for my setup.

Printed in PA12-CF (not gonna break anytime) All good :) Thank you kindly. That AMS power/data cable could do with an extra meter on it though Bambu! ;) What are the 'white' Bowden brackets you use coming from AMS (with numbers on them)?

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Those are part of the Bambu Lab top mount. I printed that first before coming up with my wall mount. I retained those as they help guide the tubes.

Great profile and part design! A bit of really fine strings, but I would blame myself for humidity in the room.

Love it! Thanks for sharing. Printed really well looking at that. I may be biased but I love the curves the gen design created.
