Description

I created this model due to an idea of Christmas having a lot of candles and making them more pretty I thought of a way to decorate tea candles but not make it to complicated and after creating a lantern I came up with this simple printable and storable idea.

This is a two layer print 0.4mm high and is printed with a 0.4 nozzle.

After print: Carefully take the print from the plate. Especially the parts where black and transparent are joint are fragile and they have a different way of bending. After you got your print from the plate role it carefully up so it overlaps 25mm on the inside (angel side) and fix it with transparent tape. That worked great for me. If it’s a bit sturdy try heating it up on the build plate again before bending it. After that it can directly be used and after Christmas it can be stored in an envelope or an clear film

I printed it in PETG two colored transparent and black for a good satin effect of the transparent filament on the PEI plate.

The .3mf file is already colorized, the .stl file is raw. For using the .stl file you have to load it into Bambu Studio, right click on the object and divide it into objects so you can define the filament for each body of that file.

WARNING: Don’t move an object when it is not assembled since you’ll never make it fit perfectly again!

After colorization I always first assemble the black parts all together and then the assembled black parts with the transparent part. I also had the issue that Bambu Studio only gave me the magi when not doing the assembly or doing the assembly all at the same time.

The print is 250mm x 80mm. There easily fit two prints on one plate without calibration prints three.

The print costs are about 0,27€ for filament with three changes and for one print it takes (including preparation) 42m 58s.

For Print I used:

Bambu PETG Basic Black for the figures and the frame
Bambu PETG Basic Transparent for the Background

Printer settings are standard.

The pictures I used for this decor I got from Freepik and for creation I used Fusion 360
