Description

This is my spare box idea!

A small box that can be stored anywhere
All the projects I found before were too bulky, so I decided to create a small box, but one that can hold the essentials.
Simple and functional

It easily closes with its 4 clips
Option to insert various screws and parts for maintenance
Designed to hold up to 4 complete hotends

I have created two versions for the lids
One for those who don't have AMS yet and can't print in multicolor
The other one for the lucky ones who have decided to purchase it

I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!

The model printed well on my X-1 Carbon with AMS and Cool Plate. The clips for the lid kinda drove me nuts so I snipped them off, printed a few small in-place hinges and attached them, then added a magnet and a thin metal plate opposite of the hinge side. Very happy with the result.

Here you go: https://www.printables.com/model/291495-hinges-for-diy-projects They weren't truly print in place. The hinges are two pieces which snap together nicely. I positioned and mounted the hinges after I'd already snapped the two hinge pieces together then never uncoupled them, so ....

Thanks, I actually modified it to use 4 rectangle magnets (had a bunch left over from a project). Remix should be up soon as I finish printing it to verify functionality.

Thanks! But the lid with the 4 clips is unfortunately not practical. Sits too tight and takes too much effort to open. A version without a compartment for a glue stick and a compartment for an extruder would make more sense.

needs better latching mechanism but the box itself is good

Great print, I needed a case for all the accessories and I printed this one. Printed in excellent quality ABS and well designed, I recommend it

Wanted to like, looks cool, but the glue stick is in there pretty tight (hard to remove) and there isn't a place for the hex keys or nozzle cleaners, as well as the closing clips don't work very well or fit too snugly.

For the glue, the problem can be solved by inserting a small piece of paper to extract it, I will definitely have to fix that. We all have hex keys at home, so I didn't see the need to create space for them, it's a box for spare parts, not accessories. As for the nozzle cleaners, there are four small compartments I don't see a reason to create additional holes when they can comfortably stay inside. I didn't want to complicate things, i preferred to keep it simple. You're not the only one having issues with the closing clips I will update the design in the next few days to address the problem. Thank you for your honest feedback.
