This swiss army style key holder was remixed and inspired by the Proteus Key Holder by ProteanMan. I really liked the original design, but wanted to make some modifications based on my own preference.
Modifications include:
1) lower profile dimensions (about 1/2 thickness from the original design)
2) Updated hardware sizes (designed to use 4-40 low profile socket cap screws and hardware)
3) Logo was changed to a boxer engine logo
Overview:
As with the original Proteus Key Holder design, this works like swiss army knife with your keys folding into the holder. This is a remix of the "Regular" size which fits common key sizes (i.e. house keys, mailbox keys, car keys, etc.)
Recommended Hardware:
-3x Low-Profile Socket Head Screw, 4-40 Thread Size (chose length as desired for # of keys)
-3x Hex Nut, 4-40 Thread Size
-Nylon Plastic Washers (as desired to separate keys)
Printing:
Recommended printing in ABS or other higher strength plastic.
Recommended printing with higher infill.
Orient the print so that the flat side (without logo) is on the print bed
Assembly:
Hex Nuts are easily press fit into 3D printed model. If you don't have a press, you can use a clamp, vise, pliers, etc to press them in.
Low-profile socket cap screws slip fit through the model
Keys may be separated by washers if desired
Notes:
I recommend printing without rafts or supports and with at least 50% infill. Recommended higher infill if your printer is capable due to the thin dimensions of this model. I printed in ABS for better durability
