eSun Paper Spool Adaptor PLA+
I received my eSUN PLA+ beginning of januari 2024 and the current version of this adaptor provided by eSun did not fit. This may due to slight dammage, humidity or tollerances. Also the official one is removed from the website (404 page error).
I remixed this one from the original found somewhere on the web bottom up and provided as RAW file (STEP).
- Made it little larger (2mm)
- Made it little broader (1mm)
- Added 2 more holders on the back to grip the cardboard
- Did not change the middle 50 mm hole although mine is about 54 mm wide but doesn't matter.
The cardboard spools are hitting the lid of the AMS so you need to print an lid extender also found on Makerworld (https://makerworld.com/en/models/33133#profileId-29934) and print very wel.
For me this is now a perfect fit. Tested it for 4 hours now and it's working fine. Remember to put some designant in the middle to make it more heavy when spool is almost empty.

Too small, does not fit on the spool.

There is big diffentiation between spools sorry it didn’t fit yours.

Other Issues:Its a bit big for the function, you can cut on time and filament if you make it a bit smaller. Still works tho!
