Articulated Shark Fidget Toy (Old Version)

Features:

  • Fully articulated body
  • Opening mouth with sharp teeth
  • Strong design
  • Pre painted print profile included

This shark prints super easily with no support required.

A great piece to show off what a 3D printer can do!

Extra Info:

The mouth is designed to print shut with the top set of teeth acting as support for the upper jaw and head. You must make sure your printer is dialled in and calibrated properly as the teeth require very precise extrusion and have the potential to be melted shut.

My tests so far have been great on an Ender 3 S1 Pro, so I'm sure you will have no issues using Bambu hardware ;)

Post Print:

In order for the mouth to open, you simply need to snip the very tips of the upper teeth with a pair of side cutters (or similar). The lower jaw should then drop with little to no resistance.

You must cut the teeth manually. Please don't try and force the mouth open as you will most likely break of multiple teeth in the process.

The mouth can stay closed if you want, so skip this step if that's your preference.

Thanks for looking!

After a redesign of the head to make the teeth print more reliably This turned out awesome. Designer did a great job on the body and look (tho i did extend mine by 2 links) Modified head/extended body is posted here as a print profile (approved by designer. I have also uploaded the head only complete remake on my profile if you prefer the shorter body you can just download my head design there. and download his body here the split the model and delete the original head.

Hi, can anyone help? I want to print him in layers, so a white tummy and a blue top, when i recolour the model all white he's got a blue head but I don't know why?

That is strange. I'm assuming you've tried different painting tools? I would probably use a 'circle' or 'sphere' tool and paint the blue out that way. If you place the camera in a top down view then it shouldn't go over any of the painting you've done on the belly and just paint the head. Hope that helps!

I managed to paint it and then was unable to change the filament layer, if was greyed out. All very weird.

The teeth came out better than expected I also painted it. There’s a line in the model which is caused by the filament getting stuck. Had to reprint 3 times that’s why I gave it 3 stars but if you have patience it’s a great model

Printed well overall. The teeth got a little weird at the high speed, but I think it adds character.
