This IKEA-inspired and improved knife block is modular and requires three parts, which you can print in different colors to suit your taste with minimal support materials.

The knife insert module comes with six different styles to fit various everyday situations, while the block itself offers ten different designs to seamlessly blend into your kitchen.

 

The knife insert module is placed on top of the block and secured by a small protrusion. This design element ensures a secure connection while allowing for easy assembly and disassembly when needed.

 

 

A drip tray, designed to catch water, is placed at the bottom of the block by sliding in like a small drawer. This drip tray is designed to be printed in vase mode. If you're unfamiliar with this, use my print profile for this piece instead of using the raw STL.

Can someone let me know if the holes in the sides (lines or bubbles) requires supports?

If you use my print profiles, they are optimized and support is added where needed.

Hey, thanks for the response, hoping you can help me understand what I may have done wrong for the sides to come out like they are in the attached picture. I have support set to tree (auto) and selected "Remove small overhangs" Thank you. Edit: Pretty sad this thing printed really poorly, wish I knew why :(

Apologies for the delayed response. Please try reducing the print speed to 50 mm/s and slow down the travel speed at the height where the artifacts started. I suspect the issue may be due to the speed causing the panel to move like springs.

what was rough? care to share more info like filament used, device & some photos of your print to show what you mean would be helpful for me to help you and improve the model if there were flaws in design or to improve the profile.

the sides around the bubbles were not smooth I used white overture filament I have not had issues before but overall the print was good.
