Description

Christmas tree candle mold:

  • Simple to print model
  • 3 parts
  • Customizable - scalable
  • No support

Dimensions:

  • This model can be scaled to fit to your needs
  • The dimensions of the 100% model are 75mm tall and 60mm widht

Info about the print:

  • Print time of all parts, 2 times mold and 2 times gasket: 2,25 hours
  • Filament, approximately 51gr total

Type of material:

  • PLA: The deform temperature of PLA is around 65 degrees. Wax is melting at around 55 degrees. This means when you use PLA to form your candle, you cannot heat up wax to hot. PLA is not the ideal material to print your molds, but it can work. I added some hot wax into the mold and then put the mold inside a bowl of water. After adding into the water, I added the rest of the wax into the mold. Worked perfectly.
  • ASA/ABS: The deform temperature of these materials are higher and thus better to be used as a mold. Your hot wax will not deform the mold and you don't have to use any tricks to make it work.

How to assemble:

  1. Print the mold parts and gasket (on 1 buildplate in the print profile)
  2. Fit the gasket on 1 part of the mold
  3. Now you can add a wick and press the 2 mold parts together (you can add a rubber band to secure the 2 parts
  4. Start melting your wax and pour it into the mold
  5. Enjoy you own created candle and start testing with different colors

Happy printing.
