3D model description

Hi,
This is my entry into the The 3D Printing Dragon Contest.#DRAGONXCULTS

I typically don't do these types of models, but its new year so why not. I have only been printing for about a year now, and I am self taught (I am a elementary gym teacher as my real profession).

Thinking of a dragon, I wanted to make something that is unique, but easy for everyone to use. I think of fire and smoke when it comes to dragons. So I wanted to try a incense holder that's in the shape of a dragon.

Incense is a relaxing thing in my mind, so instead of the menacing dragon, I went with the more cute and docile approach, a sleeping dragon.

This dragon is 2 separate pieces. So 2 printing sessions is required. The bottom piece is a tray to collect the ash of the burning incense. You can place a incense stick in the small hole at the end of the tail. Or use an incense cone, just place it in the middle of the tray.

After painting your lil ' dragon and picking your favorite incense. LIGHT IT UP. Cover the smoking scent of delight with the top of the dragon. Using the teeth on the bottom piece, line up the top cover with the 2 teeth indentations. Lastly watch the smoldering dragon puff that sweet aroma through out your home. The openings found all across the top part of the dragon have two purposes. To allow the pleasant smoke to pass through, but to allow air flow to keep the incense burning.

I hope you fall in love with it as I did and please leave me some feedback, it is much appreciated.

3D printing settings

This model is my own original creation, created using Meshmixer. My printer is a Flashforge Foto 8.9S.

I do not know how this model would turn out on a filament printer, plus creating it out of a plastic may be dangerous. Even though there is no flame, there is still heat and a hot coal that is produced with incense. That being said...

PRINT AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I use the default print setting set by Flashforge on my machine. Used Sunlu's Standard Gray. For both pieces, I used supports, but didn't use a raft.
