Description

I couldn't find a tool organizer for my print station that met my exact needs so I said “to hell with it” and made my own. includes inserts for IPA bottles, hand tools, scrapers, glue sticks and a “Catch All” tray at the bottom for random odds and ends.

Including the Step file for those interested in changing the model to fit their own needs, I would love to see what some of Y'all come up with!

Added a variant with horizontal caliper storage to the Raw files section for those interested.

For those with a small form factor printer like the A1 mini o.Ojack did a great job making a smaller variant that fits on the mini build plate!

Some users have reported issues finding the caliper model files so I have created a separate post for that model. the files can still be found on under this models Raw Files drop down menu however for convenience and handy app ease of use the caliper model can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/154289#profileId-168688

I found this on Facebook I think. I filled back in all the cutouts on TinkerCAD (this is my first time ever doing something like this - I'v only remixed a few small parts before) and added my own for the slew of tools that I was looking to store. I cut down the depth a bit and removed the center caliper hanger. Printing it now. About 26 hours and 700-800g of Sunlu Grey HS-PLA filament on my MK4. More than your original since I removed the big cutouts for the IPA and grease tube. I printed with 3 perimeters, 6 top layers, and 10% adaptive cubic infill. I hope I measured right and everything fits because I won't want to reprint this lol

Done! I had some top layer problems on the two upper levels. Not sure why - since the top of the catchall tray came out perfect. I also sized the diameter of a few of the allen wrench holes too small. I should have given the circle cutouts the maximum amount of sides for rounder holes. And didn't account for the overhang of the red scraper in the top right corner - so I have one empty hole. Everything else fit just about perfectly!

Neat project! To economize, I printed the horizontal caliper version using 2 wall loops, 10% infill, Lightning pattern. Printed in 12 hours and used 422 g of filament. The print quality is fine for this use case. The Allen wrenches interfere with the caliper and the holes aren't deep enough so they protrude out the top. It's probably best to move the Allen wrenches to the top level.

Just a little bit where the layers start to curve, what layer height did you print with?

Other Issues:seems to be an issue with the file? 😔

can you give any more details on what happened here? I printed this file yesterday and had no issues so I'm curious what caused the failure.

Not sure what happened it was printing fine at the start and at about 30-40% it skipped to 100% completed 😦

Hm. That’s interesting, iv not seen anyone else have this issue with the file so I’m curious if the Gcode had a fault
