Description

Bambu Lab P1P/P1S and X1C Double Wipe Version 2

The best solution to fix problems with the original nozzle wiper.

EDIT 06/12/23 - I have reuploaded a 2mm and a 3mm version, as I seem to have messed them up when first uploaded. Please use correct thickness Silicone.

The standard nozzle wiper worked most of the time but after this mod, it works every time!
I wanted to add a silicone sheet to the wiper but also retain the stock wiper.

I recommend printing in ABS or PETG so it withstands high chamber temperatures.

Instructions (Based on 2mm version)

  1. Remove the stock nozzle wiper from your printer and screw it to the Nozzle Wipe V2.
  2. Cut a 14mm x 13mm piece of 2mm Silicone sheet (Link below) and slide into the slot.
  3. Use 1 of the spare screws that came with the spare wipers to attach the Nozzle Wipe V2 to your printer.

And that's it! Enjoy a clean nozzle with every print.

Please note printed picture is of previous Version

You can buy silicone sheets from the link below. Please make sure to select 2mm!!

Hi, I have looked into this and it seems I uploaded the wrong file when I designed V2. I have now included the correct file for 2mm and left the one for 3mm too, both with printing profiles. Please try the 2mm version and let me know how you get on.

the cool thing about the 3mm is that you can take a larger piece and fold it. then insert. this way you have a triple cleaner. I have been using it like this for some time now and it's working great!

when the x1c printer comes back after testing the first layer, will it hit between them?

filament poop constantly gets stuck between the 2 wipers

I printed the 3mm version in ASA and used 1/8"(3.175mm) silicon I got on Amazon. It has been a big improvement. I made it thru a .2mm nozzle, 8 hour print with no wiping failures or purge launches. That might be the 1st time ever. Thanks for sharing this.

-The 2mm vs 3mm confusion is unfortunate, of course I printed the wrong thing... -The allie silicon sheet is rated for 250, which barely covers PETG, much less something like Polymax PC which needs closer to 290, let's see how it holds up. -The model has a bunch of holes -The 2mm model refuses to have any sort of tree supports until you up the angle to 30, this doesn't happen on the 3mm model, weird These small critical observations aside, it does seem to clean better though, so thank you for this combined approach! Really hope the body doesn't collect filament on itself, like some of the other similar contraptions. Bambu kinda dropped the ball on the poop shoot & cleaning aspect in general, mine constantly gets jammed up and the nozzle drags filament out onto the plate on multi-color prints, especially with high-temperature (for transparency) PETG.
