Universal Kitchen Dispenser for Pickle Jars (80 mm Diameter) & Mason Jars

This print file contains the design for a universally applicable kitchen dispenser, specifically developed for use with pickle jars with a diameter of 80 mm or Mason Jars.

Excellent for storing and easily dispensing various ingredients such as:

  • Coffee
  • Cereal
  • Rice
  • Cat food
  • Pasta
  • Lentis

…or many other things!

Furthermore, a Jar for self-printing is included in the Pickle Version!

Design Features:

  • Flap with Rubber Ring: At the bottom of the dispenser, there is a flap operated by a cleverly integrated rubber ring mechanism.
  • Versatile Use: The dispenser is ideal for a variety of dry foods such as coffee beans, cereal, rice, pasta, lentis and other dry ingredients.
  • Text Plates: Additionally, the kitchen dispenser can be equipped with text plates for labeling.

Note - There are two Versions of the Dispenser:

  • Pickle Jar Version for 80mm Diameter
  • Mason Jar Version (als requested in the comments)

The printable Jars:
Please note that the printable jars are only compatible with the 'Pickle' version of the Dispenser!

  • Sizes: Two options - 800ml and 2500ml for self-printing.
  • Print Profiles: Independent profiles for Vase Mode (translucent prints) and normal prints (solid and robust).
  • If you need a Lid: Available HERE.

It is highly recommended to print the included test thread before printing the main parts - except you print the included Jar (Pickle Version)!
This is to ensure that the thread fits correctly and that the jar is compatible with the dispenser.

HERE you can find the Best Food-Safe PLA Filaments of 2023.

Special bonuses:

Additional doors:

  • 10mm handle (Standard size)
  • 20mm handle
  • 30mm handle

any chance you could make one for a wide mouth mason jar? I have a lot of wide mouth jars that would be perfect for this. thanks. I appreciate your work.

Hello Jsondag, Could you please provide more details about the thread you need? I mean thread diameter and pitch. Or do you have a link to other models whose threads fit the wide-mouth mason jars you mentioned?

Mason Jar Version (USER REQUEST) - 0.2mm layer, 3 walls
I was initially unsure what size jar would fit. turns out I needed the pickle jar base and the wide mouth extension. I used it for dry cat food. try printing the wall mount like my picture. this orientation should make it stronger where the jar rests. also, I needed to use a rubber band to keep the jar leaning back against the wall vs leaning forward and potentially falling.

Thank you very much for your feedback! These are the comments that truly help me improve things. I might design a second version with an enhanced wall mount, as it has become clear over time that the wall mount is the weak point, especially with larger glasses. By the way, I really appreciate the color scheme! I always look forward to seeing prints from users. :)

I revised the weak wall mount design and replaced it with a quick-lock mount; here is Version 2, enjoy it! https://makerworld.com/en/models/406101#profileId-307995

Printed the pickle jar version with adapter for large mason jar and the regular mason jar version. Both worked well. Seems a bit heavy though with rice in the jars. it bends a bit at the joint. I used PLA. May have worked better if I'd used a stronger filament. I also used a plastic ziploc as a liner for the chute. Worked well with the bigger jar and adapter but was fiddly with the smaller one.

Printed Great but there are some gaps for the dispenser This model printed perfectly, however, I was originally planning on using it to dispense seeds for my bird. As soon as I put some in, I noticed that seed was falling out even with the dispenser closed. It works with everything else fine though. The rubber band also makes a smooth and satisfying press. The pictures have the adaptor on.

Thank you for your feedback and pictures! If you mean the gap on the back of the slider: There has been a Version 2 of the kitchen dispenser available for a few days now, where this gap on the back has been removed, and furthermore, a better wall mount has been integrated: https://makerworld.com/en/models/406101#profileId-307995
