Description

Simple alteration to Humebeam's brilliant model for a Silica Gel holder AND Hygrometer to build into a spool itself. This enlarges the flange so it fits onto larger holed spools, like the Sunlu ones many of us find ourselves with.

The rest of the holder remains unchanged, unlike the other ‘Sunlu versions’ which are just scaled copies, which not only means it will comfortably fit the smaller Bambu spools too, but also it will still take a Hygrometer.

Print as per the print profile in PETG or ABS/ASA for longevity+the ability to go in a dryer, or PLA will hold up fine in the AMS.

the top and bottom don't fit well. The smaller part (top) needs to be .5 to 1mm larger in circumference in order to screw on correctly... Suggest modifying the model in order to make the parts fit together correctly

Hey, thanks for your feedback. What are you printing in? I have like 15 of these now in different materials and all fit together flawlessly*. It should be a snug fit, but definitely has enough tolerance as long as you're not getting too much shrinkage. If you take a look at the two halves in cross section you'll see there's a comfortable gap already - should be about 0.3mm which is plenty for a big thread like this. *The only time this hasn't been the case was with an ABS print where the very top of one of the threads was a little misshapen as I was printing at 167% speed. Even then it only took a tiny bit of cutting to get it working smoothly.

Hello, thank you for getting back to me! I printed it in standard pla using your profile. I'll try a different PLA and try a PETG but like I mentioned it didn't fit in the 4 I printed.
