Description

Now Released and more game surfaces to follow!

The goal of slingpuck is to be the first to shoot all your pucks into your opponent's camp! A simple 2 player game.

How to play

Rules:

  • 1. Each player puts 5 pucks on their side.
  • 2. The game is played with one hand.
  • 3. Use the elastic to fire the pucks to the other side of the board.
  • 4. Only one puck is moved at a time.
  • 5. Slide both ends of the elastic band into the side grooves so that they snap into place.
  • 6. As soon as the game starts, there is no pause allowed.
  • 7. Whoever clears the board first is wins.

Important Rules;

  • When the game starts, the puck cannot be moved to clear the way of pucks
  • If a puck should fly out of the board, the game doesn’t pause and the player must go pick it up by himself.

Suggested print settings:

  • 3 walls
  • 10% infill
  • 4 Top/Bottom layers (ironing is optional)
  • supports are optional for the puck gate if you dont trust your bridging

Materials:

  • One piece of 1.75mm to join the boards together
  • 12 3x2mm magnets
  • 300-350mm of 2.5-3mm elastic cord

Changes:

  • added a rounded edge /w build in layers for easier coloring/painting on the STL file as well as BL 3mf file for easier access to the attached step files inside!

Full Ice Edition:

  • Print a stick and smaller pucks and fight your way to the win the old school way! (Nets coming soon)
  • Uses 3x2mm magnets which will hold the nets in place and challenge your friends to classic finger hockey!

Support:

  • If you like my work and wish to help support me share and post about my designs or head over to my Cults3D or Patreon and purchase the files/subscription as well all money earned go back into my design and prototyping for new products for the community!

Revisions:

  • Dec 9 - Added more tolerance for the hinge as some were having issues getting filaments through! Also added a hole cap to plug the holes between games to prevent pucks from escaping.
  • Dec 27 - Added a non divider version and smaller pucks to really up the difficulty and versatility of the game

This is amazing! My 4yr old son loves it! Just an idea, but it would be cool if you offered two versions. One with the original concept, but another that doesn't have the center line wall, and instead has an opening where the goals are so you can play full court "ice" hockey as well. I guess the hinge may need to be on the bottom and since that would be raised maybe a little notch on each of the other corners to lay flat. Heck, you could even have a little net that could slide in the opening for the goal! The only reason this came to mind is my son got a bunch of hockey players (pretty much cake toppers) and loves seeing them pretend play. Love your design and that you made this public, there's literally nothing else out there like this and I've been searching and searching. Thank you!

i modified and created a full board without the middle not entirely sure how people can make it work but I'm thinking of making little sticks that you can put into your fingers and use smaller pucks to finger shoot it something

You are amazing, and fast! Printing this now. Yeh, if you don't have a 4yr old with an imagination and fake hockey players I don't think it's too fun. Perfect for him, but your OG model did make my mind wander a bit and want to start playing with some ideas. I was thinking about modding some foosball like functions or the old school Table Top Rod Hockey Game. Still percolating since I just found your board today lol. Thanks again!

The print came out very well, but you could add a holder for the pucks or a cover so that the pucks do not fall out during transport

My print came out great, just waiting for the magnets and elastic cord to arrive from amazon then I'll post pics What do you suggest for the hinge? I though it was for a section of filament, but the hole is too small.

At first I had the same problem, but then I pushed the filament through the individual hinges first and pulled it back and forth a bit! Now I was able to push the filament completely through all the hinges. You have to press a bit firmly. You can also try cutting the filament at an angle to make it easier to insert

corrected it with a teardrop style hole so it should be easier to push through and just add a little glue to each end to lock into place

I'll be adding a Puck holder here in the Future I apologize for it not being included as i got busy and mildly sidetracked with the xmas holidays and a busy sales month where all my machines are tied up with other projects! I'll get something here ASAP for everyone!
