Sometimes, small things work better. I had some feedback that my other bin and lid was great, but could not be scaled down.
This is a tremendous little bin for the desk and is quick and easy to print. Even if you don't need it, you must admit it's SUPER cute!
Remember, it is SMALL. It measures only 8.5 cm square on the base and 130 cm high. That's around 3.5" x 5" tall for those trying to understand this new fan-dangled metric system.
It could be used for
- Candy wrappers
- Purge lines (if folded)
- Dead batteries
- Nutshells
- Olive pips
- Coins
- Used otoscope tips
- There are other things that my pea-sized brain cannot come up with, but you clever people will
This bin could be scaled up, but beware that the gaps around the swing lid will increase. Please don't go too crazy with it.

Hi. thanks for printing the model.
From the look of the print, it seems like there might be a loose belt on the X or Y axis. not sure what printer you have, but check the Bambu wikis for procedures to fix.

Very clean print all around. I think it would be safe to bring the tolerances for how the lid clips in like .01mm tighter, but it’s not like it flops out or anything right now but if there’s anything to improve that might be it. Bambu PLA-CF Black and Polymaker PolyLite PLA Pro Metallic Gold.

Good print result. The lid sits too loose on the main body, that you can take it off almost without any tension. I think, I'd try to scale the lid up to 101 or 102% percent the next time.

Very useful model. Perhaps the lid can be scaled down to 98% to achieve free swinging.
