Description

I wanted more of the exact Bambu reusable spools with the holes from the factory so I 3D scanned one. The file i have uplaoded has bigger holes than the one you see in the picture to actually match the Bambu spool. I am going to print more with clear PETG to match the translucent ones from Bambu.

What settings did you use? My first layer is not looking good, it clumped and had to cancel. I adjusted settings and so far it is looking better, we will see. Mainly having it go super slow but for one side it is sitting at 19 hours of print time. And advice would be appreciated cause yours looks like it came out nicely!

Thanks! So I'm using a clear Inland PETG+, 0.4mm nozzle, textured PEI plate, 15% gyroid infill with just the standard Generic PETG profile so ~5hrs per side (I did try the Bambu PETG Basic profile first which gave me a clumped first layer oddly). Especially for PETG, I did use the glue stick, dry the filament, and clean the bed (or I've flipped the plate) which seems to resolve a lot of weird first layers.

PETG Spool settings

I really like the design, very well done and about as close to the original as you can get. Printed in Overture PETG white with no issues. Thank you for the great work.

Printed with Inland ASA. Obviously I had to adjust the print profile to slow down the speed.

Looks great. Printed in ABS for a bit of added strength, although probably not needed.

Printed alright with even the absolute trash of pla I had lying around! Will probably try it with better pla as the one I used doesn’t give me clean surfaces no matter what print settings I use.

Prihted slowly and hot in transparent PETG you can get a decent appearance although still not close to sand original transparent bamboo spool. But it does tick some of the OCD boxes. First half I printed too fast and cool.
