Printed based on the specs but it seems like the opening is a little too small. The wood I got was the same from HD. I am showing 3/4in by 1.5in like in your diagram. The openings are closer to 5/8in and 1.25in. Any thoughts? The dowl hole is perfect.

i would use a fine grit sandpaper on the dowel!
