Accelerate and Attack! Aeons of War Starter Set

This bundle contains the Accelerate and Attack! Aeons of War rules, plus models for both of the fleets statted out in the rules: the Stone Portals and Vivrathk Aggression. (Otherwise available independantly in their respective ranges.) This is a saving of 34% over the both the rules and the models, or 10% just for the models!

Accelerate and Attack! Aeons of War is a starship combat wargame design for fleet actions from Aotrs Shipyards. It was initially published in 2017 on Wargames Vault and is still actively supported.

Supports: Not available at this time, sorry.

Mounting: Fighters and small craft are supplied on on a sprue-slash-base (of 4 Stone Portal Assault Shuttle) or 12 for fighters) for printing. The base may be removed afterwards, but can also serve as a base in and of itself.

Scaling Notes: Yellow. Parts potentially affected by scaling: Thin parts.

Accelerate and Attack! places the emphasis on tactical decision making and manoeuvre, while providing a technology system comprehensive enough to allow a wide variety of fleet playstyles but without compromising speed of play.

Accelerate and Attack is a generic, open system that can be used with any miniatures. The lore for the included sample fleets is designed to be self-contained so that they can be "plugged in" to your existing play environment, or used with the Aotrs Shipyards lore (see the Stories for links and news). Players are encouraged to create or adapt their own fleets.

Accelerate and Attack is suited for games of about twenty or more vessels per side for an evening's gaming.

Features:

• Innovative Manoeuvre Factor system and Command and control structure that keeps the record-keeping down to ship damage and the game flowing (no orders to write!)

• Tech level system with up to 20 tech levels

• Over 30 technologies allows enormous variety and versatility in fleet differentiation even between the same tech level

• The "buckets o' D20"-based system* allows for granularity in the tech system while preserving the speed and flow of a mass-dice system.

Finally, as a bonus, included in the zip is an Excel spread sheet as an aid to ship generation (with instructions). This is an .xlsx file (which might not be compatible with all spreadsheet devices).

Author's disclaimer: this is principally an upload of the author's working source file and as such it is a little crude and clunky, requiring copy-pasting and some basic spread sheet knowledge to use (e.g. how to drag cells etc). This has been previously released part of the free supplemental pack on Wargames Vault and not in the main rules, since it is not to a professional coder's standard! It does, however, do the job, and it made no sense not to include it in the pack as an extra.
