In 1955, Eugene Polley developed the first wireless remote control. It was flat. Like every other remote control following.
60 years later, NVIDIA said "Hold my beer and screw that!" and developed a remote control in a triangle shape that cannot be controlled laying on a flat surface like a desk. You have to take it into your filthy hands when eating snacks instead of just pushing the button with your one clean finger. Great job NVIDIA!
I fixed this by this little “addon” that just fits the top end of the remote with a tight fit. It has an opening for the mic and the remote can even stand upright without falling over now (if that's your goal). It's as small as possible to not annoy you when handling the remote.
Designing this was a nightmare because the remote isn't even a triangle, but a triangle with various rounded sides, but now I found the perfect fitting shape.
Originally printed in Bambu PLA-CF, but use whatever suits you!
Important: As this thing holds by a very tight fit, you most likely need to try out some sizes until it fitsyour printer, calibration and material.
Easiest is to just print it four or five times with 100%, 101%, 102%, 103% and 104% scaling: it has just 2.6g and prints in minutes.
