Description

Sally the Sassy Seal is a 3D model that I designed for you to have fun with.

Sally used to live in the arctic with her family, but she always dreamed of seeing the world. One day, she decided to hitch a ride on a ship and explore new places. She visited many countries and learned about different cultures and fashions. She also met many friends and admirers along the way. She developed a taste for adventure and elegance, and became the sassy seal that she is today.

Sally is a seal with attitude, she would look good wearing a fancy hat and a pearl necklace. She also has a cute nose and a playful tail. Sally is waiting for you to download her and print her out. She will be a great companion for your desk, shelf, or anywhere you want to add some flair and personality. Sally is also very confident, so feel free to share your prints with others and show off your creativity.

You can print Sally in any color you like, or use multiple colors to make her more glamorous.

The model is provided in 3MF format, which supports multi-color printing, as well as in a pre-arranged and colored file for easier printing (in BambuSlicer).

You can also customize the model by scaling, rotating, or slicing it to your preference, of course. I provide a recommended supported print orientation (on the flats of her back flippers I modeled in) as shown in the pictures, which worked well for me with OrcaSlicer's organic supports.

I hope you enjoy this 3D model and have fun with Sally the Sassy Seal.

Is there a way to reduce the issue in these two photos? Awesome print but these make it look bad. :(

On the back: There's a few different ways to address that. You can orient the print differently with supports on the underside (although that may lead to issues there). You can make the support structures closer, and if you use dedicated support interface material (like my PLA+PETG mixed supports post, for example, or Bambu's support W), you can get REALLY good support interfacing by setting the support gap to zero or near zero.

On the front side, you can use a finer layer height (like 0.16 or 0.12) for those areas with adaptive layer height adjustments to make the "topo map" look go away. If you print it in a different orentation that also can work, as i mentioned for the back. You can also play with the idea of turning off one-wall-on top surface to see if that makes a better visual effect for the front.

Probably scared of that hot stove ;) Though it looks like maybe she could use a quick heatgun for the stringing :)
