3D model description

Another experiment using TPU - the magic/flexible/collapsible/infinite cube or whatever fancy name you can think of. According to reference 3, it was invented by Naoki Yoshimoto in 1971, but I'm not sure about that.

In this 3D design project, I took into account the tolerances between the small cubes and the curved joints between them using chamfers and grooves. It can be printed in one piece. The result exceeded all my expectations. It is available in three sizes: 16mm^3, 24mm^3 and 36mm^3.

Given the difficult navigation and physical limitations, this should be an interesting intermediate design project for students.

3D printing settings

FDM Height not more than 0.2, speed not more than 60mm/sec, all other settings depending on filament and printer.
