Description

Simple four color lightbox we did for a neighbor. Didn't have the right color for the legs and beak and used bambu gold on our print. Looked great and the light came through nicely. As always make sure your nozzle is clean before starting the print to reduce the wisps. Enjoy and happy printing!

Printed great! Used a high-gloss silk silver PLA to produce a reflective back. Much easier than trying to mess with aluminum tape, and worked well. LED strip stuck to the complex inside perimeter of box, but I also added hot glue to strategic areas. Also added an 11mm hole in the back through Bambu Studio, and a 1/4x1/2" rubber grommet (EWG-13) to seal the hole through which the wire goes. My father-in-law, who is in a long term rehab facility, LOVES IT!

I just had a problem with this particular roll of shiny silk PLA. The roll is slightly too large for the AMS, and unless it's inserted perfectly, will not retract. I must've gotten lucky with the UofL Cardinal. I'm going to have to re-spool it.

Thanks! I'm undecided on the silk silver. It is a lot easier than aluminum tape, but not quite as reflective.
