Description

Yet another poop chute.

I have my X1C in an IKEA PAX wardrobe enclosure and cut a ~60mm hole in the side for the filament poops to fall out of (into a trash can). This chute just extends all the way to the bottom of the X1C. It extends about ~1.5-2" past the X1C but the PAX enclosure has plenty of room. The printer is just about centered in the enclosure. See pictures.

It is heavily inspired by similar designs (of which I took measurements from) but I created it from scratch in fusion360. I attached the f3d file if you're interested.

Installation

Attach to bottom of poop chute with a slightly longer screw. There is a silver-colored one that came with the X1C, but I'm not sure what it was for. It is about 2x the length (maybe about 8-10mm) but works great. You don't have to tighten it too hard. You should still be able to rotate the chute with light resistance.

Came out great in PLA with ironing and without supports. The screw I believe works well is one from the "for scraper" if you still have your hardware in original packages. I've added the PLA profile. Thanks for this model, it's perfect for me!

Glad it worked for you! I had so much extra hardware with my X1C that I have honestly no idea where the screw came from. It might also be one of the AMS shipping screws (though I know not everyone will have that). Thanks for the profile as well
