Description

This miniature model of a turntable contains a hidden mechanism that moves the tone arm when the record platter is rotated. The model is an easy print and makes an awesome fidget toy, so print one and get scratching!

Print Settings

- Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Vertical Shells: 3
- Top/Bottom Layers: 5
- Infill: 15%
- Supports: Nope

Print 2x Knob and 1x of every other part.

The model is designed to assemble without glue, so make sure your printer's flow rate and e-steps are dialed in to your chosen filament. Otherwise, some light sanding or glue may be required.

This model looks great in multiple colors, so be sure to mix up those filaments!

Assembly

Check all parts before assembly. The PlatterMount and ArmMount should move freely in the Body. If there's any resistance, some sanding will be necessary.

1. Insert the Knobs into the Body. This may take some force, so flip the Body over and use the surface of a table to apply pressure.
2. Insert the PlatterMount into the Body and press the Platter onto the mount.
3. Insert the ArmMount into the Body and press the Arm on. Note that the connections are keyed. DO NOT BEND EITHER PART HERE!
4. Flip the Body upside-down and move the Arm to about 45 degrees. Place the Connector between the ArmMount and PlatterMount. (It won't be secure just yet, so make sure to gently hold the Connector in place.)
5. Verify the motion is correct by rotating the Platter. Look for any parts that don't move smoothly or have significant resistance.
6. If everything looks good, place LegBottom into the Body. Be careful to not dislodge the Connector.

Important: Rotate the record platter only! Don't try to use the tone arm to spin the platter!
