Description

Introducing the "Cosy Christmas Lodge" 3D Model:

Embrace the holiday spirit with my latest 3D model, the Cosy Christmas Lodge. Designed with simplicity and holiday season warmth in mind, this miniature lodge brings a touch of festive charm to your space.

Printed flat for easy assembly, the Cosy Christmas Lodge maximizes the efficiency of your bambu AMS unit, reducing filament purges and waste. Once assembled, this charming lodge transforms into a delightful centerpiece that captures the essence of a snug winter retreat.

Enhance the cozy atmosphere by placing an LED tealight or string lights inside the lodge, turning it into a subtle lamp that radiates the warmth of the season. Perfect for both beginners and experienced 3D printing enthusiasts, the Cosy Christmas Lodge is a versatile and heart warming addition to your holiday decor.

Please check out my page for my other original designs, and don't forget to follow for more original creations soon!

*Edit: all potential fold issues have been fixed including part 6 which had dropped to the build plate. Folding joints are separate entities in case anyone needs to adjust thickness. Testing with Bambu Basic PLA and Matte PLA and folds great.

Hi there, really sorry it wasn't printing right. Had feedback that the brim was only generating in Bambu Studio and not on the handy app. This should all be fixed now on the original a1 mini profile. I hope this hasn't caused you too much grief. Thank you and happy holidays!

printed it in 100% and at 150% on my X1Carbon . To print at 150% I separated the 2 long red lower level walls in a separate plate and placed the plate diagonally to fit exactly at 150%. I added a led white light on the 150% print and they both came out great!

Looks great, how was the fit with it all scaled up? (btw you need to rotate the chimney 90°CCW for it to fit perfectly with the recess on the 150% model)

the 150% upscale fit was perfect! On both the 100% and 150% print I used a fit of Kraft glue to make sure they held well together if my grandkids move the model around but it held ok without the glue.

i wish the walls were thicker. mine broke but i used tape on the inside to hold it together. it feels really fragile. it looks amazing! cheers to the immense attention to detail the modeler/ designer put into this piece. thanks!!

Thank you for the kind words, and for sharing your make! I'll have a look at making a slightly thicker walled option for anyone wanting a sturdier model. Glue isn't required, but a little super glue on the joints makes a massive difference. Did the fold on the walls break for you?

Thanks for replying, I'll take a look in the morning to see how thick I can make it whilst still allowing the folds to function. Out of interest what material are you using? I've only tested this so far with the bambu basic and matte PLA, I can recommend them as being a lot less brittle than the other PLAs I have.

Thanks for providing the A1 mini profile so quickly! somehow if printing it directly from handy app, there were no brim at all, resulting printing failure in Plate 5: Upper Roof , probably due to limited contact area on hotbed and moving of y-Axis of the bedslinger printer. if open the profile via Bambu studio , the brim is correctly applied after slicing and everyt prknts beautifully .

Hey, no worries. Glad it came out okay. Weird about the brim, I've overwritten and re-uploaded the 3mf so hopefully the brim generates properly now in the handy app. Thank you for highlighting this! Happy holidays!

This came out great! The only suggestion I could make is to incorporate some tree support for the upper beams on the foundation. I did this, and they came nice and straight. I also ended up using a head gun on low to soften the edges as I bent them. Beautiful design, thank you!

Great make, thanks for posting! Yes tree supports would definitely help keep it squarer, thanks for sharing :)
