Description

I was having some major motor overload / pullback issues with my Elegoo spools with the AMS .

This was the reusable spool I could find I liked the most as it saved a lot of filament and worked great with a under 3h print !

The problem is , like almost every other reusable spool. these are made for bambu filament and have a small bulge in one of the sides which doesn't let other brands fit without making a small cut in the cardbox.

I didn't want to spend the extra time dealing with that everytime so just removed the bulge and now it's a perfect fit for Elegoo spools and other brands , taking under 1 minute to remove cardbox sides and fit .

Confirmed perfect fit for Elegoo, Polymaker and Overture Spools !

This remix is based on a remix of the original model with a label added

Spool seems to work well, easily transferred over a roll of Polymaker PLA to mine. I printed it in Polymaker PLA, but will print more in ABS so they can withstand filament drying. I did have to turn down the aux fan on the print as it was causing overcooling .

Printed without any problems and snapped together perfectly. Thanks for great model. Works for eSun Cardboard spools

Printed out great, thanks. Printed in PLA to start and will see how long pla lasts, but such an easy print I will just print more if needed..

I just brute force the elegoo inner onto the bambu rolll. Takes seconds and no need to waste time printing a different reusable spool or even making a notch. But be warned I just got a box of 4 elegoo black and at least one had a smaller inner cardboard roll that wouldn’t fit the Bambu roll at all.

Anyone else not expect the fillament to come unraveled when taking the cardboard off? Now I know haha
