Description

This pencil organizer that's also a giant functional nut and bolt – size M80, to be exact.

Interior dimensions: 69mm (diameter) x 107mm (height)

External dimensions (WxDxH): 100mm x 114mm x 110mm

I found that this was a nice size, both visually and practically.

No supports required!

For the nut, the default (organizer-nut.stl), the threads have a 0.3 mm tolerance, which works great on my Prusa MK3S. I recommend starting with this. If your printer doesn't print with tight tolerances, there is an alternative with 0.5 mm tolerance, called organizer-nut-looser.stl.

I printed this twice at default settings. This printed perfectly both times. No cleaning or trimming necessary. Nuts function perfectly at maker’s original settings.

This thing is an awesome addition to my bench! it printed great and looks great as well. The overhangs printed beautifully. The 2 parts mate together very nicely and the nut spins freely without binding anywhere. The only thing I was nervous about was the grid infill. I would like to see that changed to something else that doesn’t run the risk of collisions as grid is known for. Maybe rectilinear since it’s the same concept as grid, just doesn’t intersect on the same layer. Still 5 stars though! Nice print!
