This Spool Holder was inspired by the Horizontal Side Filament Holder by CdRsKuLL, which was one of the first models I printed on my X1 Carbon. But for the most common filament types I always use big Spools, so I changed the design so that it also fits 2,5 or 3kg Spools.

Dieser Spulenhalter wurde vom Horizontal Side Filament Holder von CdRsKuLL inspiriert, der eines der ersten Modelle war, die ich auf meinem X1 Carbon gedruckt habe. Aber für die gängigsten Filamenttypen verwende ich immer große Spulen, also habe ich das Design so geändert, dass auch 2,5 oder 3kg Spulen passen.

The object itself is good, but I do not recommend it. I printed it to use with an external spool with a total weight of 2.5 kg (PLA NX2 from Extrudr). The spool did not move easy enough for the extruder to be able to pull new filament off the spool... Therefore, I printed "without" filament. I switched to a more easily flowing design.
I suggest to make the part that sticks in the spool more round. Or add some kind of barings. Of course would need a rework.

Perfekt for 2.5kg rolls (in my case from Extrudr).
