Description

I'm still working on a completely different design I'm pretty excited for, but in the mean time here's my (likely) last update for this simpler design that enables swapping out the pommel or even just printing it as a separate color without an AMS or swapping filament.

My kids have really liked being able to just get a new pommel every now and then when I design another one, or try a new color filament and I figured others may enjoy it as well.

I'm adding a PETG profile as well since even the PLA+ was experiencing a limited lifespan.

Threading is ISO M16x2 and radius of the base of the hilt is 12mm, if anyone is keen to design more.

thanks! I’m working on another profile with more forgiving tolerances. Occasionally those pieces get stuck for me too and I just tap it on the counter.

my suggestion would be to have the bottom able to unscrew off. then when the pieces come out the end, you could at least get them back in. The hard part is every printer will have slightly different tolerances.

The two topmost parts keep getting stuck inside the rest of the print

thanks for the feedback! I have heard from a couple of people who had enough stringing that it led to fused parts. I’m working on another profile that doesn’t rely on such tight tolerances

pommels are sized wrong. they are too small to thread into handle

they need a little back and forth the first few turns, but they’re definitely sized right :)

Replying to @JakeMakes :
well something went wrong when I clicked to print them from the app. they are a good 3-5 mm too small of an opening on the bottom. printed it twice before I checked and both came out the same

It won't let me print on a P1P. I can't figure out how to change it from a A1M to P1P Do you have the file with no printer attached? thx

Try having the Handy App on your P1P before printing profile. Or are you using the slicer? Should just be in the drop down in the top left for you to switch.

I absolutely love the sword! it can be EXTREMELY hard to get back in if you throw it to hard but it is a very fun toy!
