Description

Hi All,

I have designed this modular type, hotwheels holder, that allows you to expand to your child's never endeing growing hotwheels collection. I also had visioned on using this as a pixel board, If you had a large enough wall, you could map out your favorite automotive manufacturing logo.

Could also up scale it and use it as a storage box if you wish.

area to where the cars sit is 89mm x 49mm. I have also included an hole in the back of the finger joins to accommodate a 4g x 9mm self-tapping screw for extra security. The finger joints are almost a friction fit as i wanted minimal movement in the joints.

i printed mine in Bambu Black PETG

Enjoy.

Tolerance is too tight on dove tails. I needed a hammer to fit them all together. Is there a fix for this?

Hi, thank you for the feed back. I did make them with a tolerance of .15mm as I didn't want these to be sloppy fit. my ones to push and pull together by hand but with the thinnest bit of friction. i printed woth bambu labs PETG, have you tried printing with a different Brant of filliment to see if the dimensional accuracy is different?

I did not know that would make a difference. thank you. at the moment I only have cookie cad filaments. they work and I like shelves. it was just a lot more work than I wanted to do. do you have something a little less tight? I don't see myself buying Bambu filaments anytime soon until I go through my cookie cad ones first. if not that's totally fine. thank you and I appreciate the work and effort you put on making these.

I have uploaded a larger tolerance model for you to try and see how you go with that. I would also suggest printing outer walls first to try and help with a more accurate fit. I would just print half of each box for a trial run first to make sure it will fit. Thank you for your input.
