Description

This support is designed by Joaquim Figueiredo from our team evolt.pt , to reduce the space occupied by the 3D printer without the AMS.
The idea was taken from the A1 mini back spool holder.

It's very easy and quick to install, you just need to use 4 screws left over from mounting the A1 printer, you don't need to buy anything to make it work.

REV.01
Added the files V2 , with more one screw hole to make it stronger (you will need 4 screws in total ).

Procedure:

  1. Print out the model and Remove the supports and get the 4 screws left over from mounting the A1 printer.

2. Install the filament holder that comes with the printer and place it on the printed part with the following orientation.

3. Tighten the cover with 1 screw. The hole is self-tightening in the plastic, so some force is needed to secure it.

4. Now it's time to attach the part to the frame, using 2 screws, as follows. The holes are self-tightening in the plastic, requiring some force to fix.

5. If you are printing tall parts and want to use PTFE tubing, you can add PTFE tubing to suit your taste, we suggest 70 to 80 cm.

Nice idea but the screws must be on top. You can see in the picture that a gap is forming at the top of the bracket.

What exactly is the fix in the new version? The bed side could be fixed by hooking each other. And on the right side it's no problem to mount another screw on top, isn't it?

Hi! Woulld suggest some updates to the one that has the orignall drawing! 1. In the download the clamp in the bracket is 3mm higher than the opposite side! Not a big deal, but make it look strange. 2. The clamp is morfe or less exactly the same size as the aluminium profile. That makes it difficult to tighten the screws so that the bracket sits firm around the aluminium profil. When using the printer you get a vibrating noise. 3. This point has someone already noted. Screws would to a better job at the top, alternative ad two more screws at the top. Like the solution! I use the AMS light and I really want to have the ext spool on the printer. Like have my deskspaces as easy to clean as possible. I'm new to Bambu Lab but have come to like there printers a lot! I'm still a amature regarding CAD so not that good at doing changes my self! So I do apriciate you all that share your designs! Best Regards Jesper

Thanks! A suggestion you may want to flip the bracket screw to the top part, from your pic there's a lot of weight pulling down the two halves.
