Here is an upgraded version of my Previous Modular (wall or any flat surface mounted) Paint rack for Vallejo and Army Painter standard paint bottles. https://makerworld.com/en/models/29929 This is a very first part of series I'm making. Full version will cover 3 Types of the Rack. Flat Wall mounted, Table Top and a version of Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) mounted one. And I'm Going to make it for Citadel jars as well, just need to get some as I don't have any at a moment. So stay tuned if You are interested in! If some parts looks a little bit weird for you, they are made as they are for a reason to make everything print with no supports. So yes No Supports Needed for any part.
Short description of parts:
Mounting Platform Base. Can be stacked with infinite number of other mounting platforms using connection pins. So you can use one or make all of the wall as a paint rack. Small thing for printing it: I have added a small Mouse ears on each corner to prevent wrapping. So all you have to do is to snap them off before assembling your wall.
Vallejo/Army Painter Paint Holders for 5 and 7 bottles.
Tamiya 10ml jar Paint holders for 3 and 5 jars.
Paint Holder Bracket. Used to attach Vallejo/AP Holder to the Platform. You can use 2 or even up to 7 Brackets for each holder.
Platform connection brackets with 4 and 2 pins. And triangle pins for vertical connectivity.
End brackets with 2 pins and screw hole for wall fitting.
Hex Inserts with screw hole. Made for wall fitting.
Additional brackets to attach Vallejo/AP Paint Holder straight to the wall or any other flat surface like plywood, MDF e.t.c. if You don't want to use Platform Panel provided.
Tamiya Paint Jar holders with screw sockets for straight wall fitting.
Hole guides for those who are putting Paint Holders straight to wall. I made to guides. Single line and 2 line if you want to go on more than 1 row
As a bonus - Paint Brush holder for a Platform Base.
11.05.2024 Update
Added Straight Holder for five Low profile 12ml Citadel Bottles
Added Angled Holder for five Taller 18/24ml Citadel Bottles (can be used for 12ml as well)
Raw STL files for both folders can be found under Bottle-Holders folder and profile for Citadel Holders is made as well.
As I'm still searching for better presentation concept of my models so they could be easier to understand, I have changed cover Image.
Changes made in description and added few tags related to newly added Citadel Holders
20.04.2024 Update
Added additional Holder for Revell / Humbrol 14ml Cans
Assembly shouldn't be difficult. Here are some instructions:
To connect 2 or more Platform Panels together use a 4 Pin or 2 Pin Connectors. Just put Panels together and push Connectors in to the sockets. On the ends of your Panel construction use a 2 Pin Connectors or ones with screw hole if you want to make even sturdier bond to the wall.
To attach Your Platform Base assembly to the wall or wooden sheet use a Hex Screw sockets. Use as many as You want in any of Honeycomb holes. Just push in, drill a pilot hole in right place on the wall and use a m3.5 or m4 screw to screw it on.
If You are putting together more than one row of Platform Bases then optionally you can use a Triangle Vertical Connection Pins between them in relevant pinholes for stronger overall construction.
Fitting a Bracket to Vallejo/PA Bottle Holder. Push a Bracket_VA from bottom back into a decided Holder bottom hole until it snaps in. You may need to use a little force for this operation. You can use a bracket for each holder, but I would suggest to use 2 or 3 for each holder line. You can attach Brackets to the Platform Base prior to Holder line if you feel that is easier to You.
Fitting a Brackets to the Platform Base. No much science here. Push a Bracket's base into desired socket from top downwards until it snaps in. One note here. Even as it is designed that You can take it off if needed, it will be a bit hard to do (not without a reason). So I would suggest to plan placing of holder prior to attaching them to the Platform Base. In case if You want to remove them, detach Holder Line.
Fitting a Tamiya Jar Holder Line to the Platform Base. All the same as for Bracket_VA fitting with only difference that here is no separate Brackets.
Fitting a Brackets and Lines to the bare wall. If You don't want to use a Platform Base You can use a Bracket_4_Wall bracketsand Tamiya_x_Bottles_Wall_pinns holder lines on bare wall. Use a Wall Hole Guides for easy hole placement. In this case it is highly recommended to screw Bracket_4_Wall brackets to the wall first and only then attach a Vallejo_AP_Bottles Holder to the bracket as other way it will be difficult to screw them to the wall.
Yes I can check what to do here. actually I'm working on other ones at a moment. Only thing, I don't have those Pro Acryl Bottles, so if it is possible it would be very helpful if You will give me precise sizes of them. Width and height, peferably measured with Digital Caliper in millimeters as stated sizes could be not very precize
Nice. Glad You like it. Heh when I made that Brush Holder I didn't know it would be much useful, but looks ppl like it as what I can see many are printing them and use :) I see You made your own way to fit Base to the wall, with just screws in connector holes. Yes that's another , maybe simpler method. Anyway Thumbs up!
yes it is. Should be done in next few days. I was slowed down greatly by Health issues. today got surgery, and that should be final one. hope to be back on track in 2-3 days. and yes I have few ideas about HSW mounting. so will finish models and will have to do some prototype prints before dropping models on Makerworld
Hi there again. Remix for fitting on HSW is done. You can check it here:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/435119#profileId-340075
Simpliest way us to use a 7 slot line as it will work with all original holders from here and previous remix. But You have another fitting option for Vallejo_AP and Tamiya holders as well if you like it more.
sorry to hear that. hope you are doing better! and thank you I will check them out! much appreciated. I wanted to mount some for the vallejo as well as the pro acryls.
hmm. at a moment I'm working on tabletop version. little delay here because of some reasons. could do a pegboard version as well, but I need some details of the board you have. not sure are they are all the one standard.
Thanks. working on Tabletop version right now. I'm on looking for right design right now. firstly was thinking about just converting this one to table top, but probably will go to build a stockable solid blocks. maybe both.
