Description

Update december 1st

  • the chair is modified with a larger magnet hole
  • the missiles from the underside launcher are a little smaller
  • the back gun now has an aligment to make it easier to fit
  • updated the assembly pdf with the underside launcher and cockpit assembly

This is my take on a batwing. its 100% my design and a real labor of love for me. assembly is pretty strait forward.

the model is almost 80 cm across so be mindful of that. also attached an assembly guide, not the best, but like i said, it shoud be pretty straight forward..

all pieces printed perfectly and require no sanding.

Hope you enjoy this model and whom ever decides to take on this print please feel free to contact me for anything.

its all printed in BL matt charcoal PLA, and i have to say it turned out gorgeous

Also it is split so that all plates print in 1-2 hours, so it minimises the printers usage; there are two exceptions on the large parts of the wings but that is it.

Also photos are available at

https://s.go.ro/vs3zltii | password: 230926

there are over 60 so i couldnt upload them here.

Next few days i will upload better quality photos of the entire plane

I also have a project for a batman beyond style vehicle, it will be proportional to this one. so stay tuned if you like my overall aesthetic .

that's amazing work, but the tolerances between parts are so small that i had to use a hammer many times to assemble them. BTW, i found it difficult to place it directly on the table, because the different parts of the model are mainly connected by glue, so how do you place it? Did you print a special base?

I don't understand why it is tooooooooo tight, could it be said that because i used five X1C to print different parts? or because filament of kexcelled is bad to use

hey ,mate, did you modify anything in the settings? it printed prefect for me, the tolerance is small but with the settings in the 3mf it should have printed perfect. maybe a filament issue, I am experiencing something similar with the latest black matte I got so I had modify the wall printing order. but honestly what I uploaded in the 3mf file worked perfect for me with bambus black matte. as for a base, when I started assembly of the wings I placed the body on a Bambu Lab filament box.

I attached some more photos for clarification. Please feel free to message me further about details and let me know how it turns out

Ok I've got those 2 parts, now for these two parts: they go under the main body right? It would be of great help if you could provide the bottom photo of the main body part

And also the trapezoid in the middle, where does that go?

why not organic support?

if I see correctly you scaled that down, if you downloaded my photos they turned out perfect on 100% scale, and came right off. I used these supports because I needed a perfect flat surface so the aligment peg would fit without sanding or adaptation

no printing 1:1 yours from the Bambu App. but very good work! only the support is terrible!

thanks and sorry for the supports, they worked well for me, I am about to upload a Batmobile next week , and I experimented a lot with organic supports, honestly never used them before, because they were terrible on the printers I had. but I see now what you mean and just how perfect they come off

Looks awesome, thank you @Wcad00 I had a few problems with figuring out how to glue it together and I used two more magnets for the "dash" panel to easier get/set the chair

WOW. Nice work!!! I would love a batwing that has no moving parts. Just a decoration. But easier to print, even for the A1 mini.

thanks mate, actually been having that in mind for some time, you could try the bat cycle , it’s much smaller but very detailed and has actually an amazing feel to it

Well, that's an amazing model by the looks of it. Might give it a try, just a question: - In the Bambu Labs 3MF I can see that all the printable files are in black. But on your pictures, some are actually a bit more brown mettallic? The seat looks a bit greyish as well. Any comments on that an which filament did you use for that and which parts are differently colored?

Thank you for your reaction and the name of the colors. If possible, could you also let me know which parts you gave the different colors? Since it's not in the 3FM file. :) Thank you!
