Description

This is something I did in Fusion 360 a few years ago during the 2020 shutdown. I originally printed this on my Airwolf Axiom machine and was never really happy with the print quality, but have been using it ever since and the functionality has been perfect so I just reprinted it in eSun PLA+ on an X1c.

This will hold 12 K Cup Coffee Pods (6 on each side). If you don't mind the top one sticking up you can get 14 total.

This was printed vertically, oriented with the top up using tree supports from the bed only to support the bottom. I also use a petg interface layer and supports just fell away. I did not use support for the top arch.

2 command velcro strips (large 16lbs size) fit into a recess on the back for a flush surface mount.

Great model and functions great. Firmly holds the K-Cups in place and easy to remove as needed. Going to print a 2nd one as I drink a lot of coffee! The print came out flawless on my Bambu X1. Using PETG as the support material and PLA for the model worked out great and disconnected very easily leaving no trace on the printed model. I have never thought to use PETG for the support only. My first print failed when I tried to just use PETG for both the model and support. This caused the bottom lip of the tube where the K-Cups rest on before being removed to detach along with the support material highlighting that PETG doesn't always play as nice when using supports. Instead of command strips I chose to use adhesive Velcro strips so I could move it easier if I don't like my initial placement of the caddie. It's also used in my classroom and I need to remove things from the wall during summer months for cleaning. Thank you for sharing!

Other Issues:I'm not sure if it was my issue or what, but the first time I tried printing it using the profile, I got some really noticeable layer lines and stringing. Fortunately, I caught it early, and stopped the print. I downloaded the raw .stl, sliced it, and printed again, and it worked great. I love the model!
