Description

I update, revise and improve my design for my fixes very often. For the latest file revisions, please only use my Print Profile (Labelled as Designer or SPStudio) to ensure this fix works really well. Profile with Non-Designer tags may be of poor functionality or non updated model.

Click on LIKE if you like it what i have made. It is very important to me and I will greatly appreciate it. Cheers!

V1 have been discontinued. New print profile for V2 added. read below for V2 improvements

INTRODUCTION

When I placed the A1 combo on my shelf, The setup takes up a lot of space on my shelf. So I decided to design a rotating bracket to mount the AMS lite on tp the A1 frame.

  • Properly balancing the probable full weight of 4 full spool on the printer frame
  • Ez to print with little/no support needed.
  • Sturdy and reliable when fully loaded and swivel for easy loading.
  • Use existing mounting holes on the AMS lite for mounting.
  • Secure mounting using screws.
  • Fit entire print into one single plate

Required For V2

  • Brass inserts M3xOD 5mmxL4mm - 12pcs
  • SHCS or BHCS M3x10mm - 8pcs

NEW MODEL V2 have been added

-Longer ARM width increasing stability

- Some changes for inserts setup

- Increased torelance for insert to help the insert grip onto the plastic mre efficiently

- Improved model geometry

Please follow the photo guide below to properly install your EZ A1 tp Mount. Remove ALL supports cleanly before install.

When installing filament rolls please insert it with balance in mind. Try not to load Bay 1 and Bay 2 and leave Bay 3 and Bay 4 empty. Its bettor to load Bay 1 and Bay 4 if you are using 2 rolls. By right even if it is unbalanced it should not cause problem because the mount is properly balanced on the frame beam but i think it is a good habit to not overload on any one side. An example would be like 2 full roll on Bay 1 and Bay 2 and 2 nearly empty roll on the opposite side Bay 3 and Bay 4.

When AMS Lite is fully loaded, Do rotate the mount slower. Do not spin it like how you do in Wheel Of Fortune.

Make sure you lock your spool into the AMS Lite holder, If the spool is loose then download a spool adapter so the spool can be held tight by the AMS spool holder.

Remove support from the Frame Stabailzer and Rotation Stabalizer with a screwdriver

Insert Brass inserts M3xOD 5mmxL4mm. Do note that it will be difficult to insert the inserts, it is intentional to help ensure the insert will be tightly gripped in the plastic, use a hammer to knock it in and it will require 2 PIECES of Brass inserts M3xOD 5mmxL4mm in EACH HOLE. Total there will be 8 inserts in this 4 holes. Reason is to improve stability and ensure firm grip of part.

Assemble it with the Rotation Stabalizer with SHCS or BHCS M3x10mm. Do not overtighten the screws. Just tight with tension is okay.

After assembly, rotate the AMS Holder a few times. The first few rotations will feel tight it is normal. It will become loose after a few turns.

Insert Brass inserts M3xOD 5mmxL4mm. Do note that it will be difficult to insert the inserts, it is intentional to help ensure the insert will be tightly gripped in the plastic, use a hammer to knock it in and it will require 1 piece of Brass inserts M3xOD 5mmxL4mm in EACH HOLE.

Attach the Arm onto A1 Printer frame, Measure both side to be 10.4cm

Use some anti slip mat cut to shape like this and place on tp of the Frame Stabalizer.

Install the Frame Stabalizer with the screws. Do not overtighten. Just tight with some tension will do. The Frame Stabalizer only fits one way. Please ensure its properly fitted before using the screws to tighten it,

Attach the AMS Lite and connect the PTFE tubes

What Mod / Fixes / Enhancement do i offer?

Please don't download the wrong one. Only those in the photos below is designed by me who painstakingly took a lot of time to measure carefully and design just to get it working. #SupportOriginal Love you guys for all the support so far!

- AMS FIX Failed To Retract Filament Error (a preventive measure and solve the bay 2 and 3 error and prevent bay 1 and 4 to have any possibility of having an error due to tension and friction) (Updated design on the 2nd photo below, try 1 then if it doesn't works properly for you then install the other one.)

(BRAND NEW) AMS Filament Pull Back Fix V2 Upgraded - Completely New Design Upgrade For AMS Filament Pull Back ERROR! Precisely Measured

- AMS Buffer Fix For Failed To Pull Back Filament Error (reduce wear on the external PTFE tube and allow the most smooth, least friction angle to go into the AMS buffer thus reducing the possibility of an error popping up)

- V2 AMS Buffer Fix For Failed To Pull Back Filament Error (reduce wear on the external PTFE tube and allow the most smooth, least friction angle to go into the AMS buffer thus reducing the possibility of an error popping up)

- AMS Fix - Stack the AMS on tp (Using a carefully measured holder to hold the PTFE in a curved angle that will allow filament to go through with the least possible amount of friction when the AMS is stacked on tp of the printer)

- AMS Buffer PTFE Right Guide Mount Fix will correct and maintain a nearly 100% straight line when the PTFE tube exit the AMS buffer to move into the printer extruder.

- V2 AMS Buffer Right PTFE Guide Mount - The Fix For Failed To Pull Back Filament a newly improved fix designed to replaced the V1 This will correct and maintain a nearly 100% straight line when the PTFE tube exit the AMS buffer to move into the printer extruder. Easy Installation. No screws needed!

- Extruder AMS Filament Pull Back Fix will correct and maintain a nearly 100% straight line to move the filament in and out of the extruder. This will also reducing wear on the PTFE tube. Its design allow the filament to travel in the most smooth, least amount of friction and pressure for the proper angle to go into and exit the extruder thus greatly reducing the possibility of an Failed To Retract Filament error or similar errors from popping up.

- The Smooth 4 Way Splitter. Look No Further. Combined with AMS Hub Lite together with this small attachment, you will have the Smooth 4 Way Splitter.

rotating seems good in theory but worry in practice. there has been post in the official top mount where the spool fallen off the top mount into the bed. With added degree of freedom [rotation], There worries vibration may make the spools falls off. Would it be possible to design a locking system so you have to unlock to rotate? like a pin?
