Description

Jack Skellington Full Head Mask

This mask has full head coverage consisting of a front and back half which uses a bit of elastic strap for the top hinge and includes two hooked side pins which slide on one side and then swivel into place to connect the front and the back together. There are large eye holes which allow plenty of ventilation to breathe, but will allow your face to be seen - I wore a black full face/head mask but you can glue buckram or mesh over the holes instead.

Supports for the face are unavoidable, but I was able to print the back with no supports. It had some stringing so if you want a perfect print please add supports.

You may notice that the mask is hand painted in the photos, and that's because I didn't have an AMS at the time. I have now painted this for a two color print have made this AMS print available. If you want a single color print and happy to paint the black yourself, go for it!

Please see my other uploads for the Bat Tie to go with this costume, and I will look into adding the bone skin I had to modify to make the articulated finger extensions fit properly. We also have a full head Pumpkin King mask which I'll upload soon!

Please like and tell your friends about this design. If you would be so kind as to share your results, I'd love to see how you got on!

As always, please rate this print so others know how awesome it is :)

If you'd like to buy me a coffee to support this and future projects, I'd really appreciate it!  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/faran3d

is the colored print a larger mask? with over 500g of filiment compared to the no colored print at 300g + of filiment. I printed the non colored and the 2 halves do not line up. I used a regular pla for the face and a silk pla for rear. I can't see that making a difference but that's what I thought at first. great print otherwise. I love it

Aside from the alignment issue, that looks great! The colored print uses more filament due to purging during color changes, both masks are identical and should line up perfectly, was there any lifting or warping during your print?

no warping or anything. I'm going to print back half again with the same filiment as the front and see if it makes a difference

Other Issues:The non painted print does not line up or match the other 1/2. I tied the top with elastic string to match and the pictures show the story. The back 1/2 is very sharp on the bottom and need to put it aroubd your neck very carefully. It's a great mask and print other than that.

Sincerest apologies. I checked our profile when you first told us about this and didn't see a problem, but when I downloaded the profile from makerworld the back half was scaled up to 107%. I've rectified this now and will address the issue about the sharp corners now.

Those are the 7th version haha To be fair I would probably do it all again with magnets now, and possibly will go back and redo it with them in the future if they're strong enough to hold. Do you have a better clip design to share?

no I did not have a better clip design, I would support magnets as well.

Yes, its one of the joys of multicolour printing but at least you know how it's going to look when it's done without any messy paint! Can you post some photos please?

One of the best skelington masks. I painted the smile rather than use ams. Half hours.

We didn't take down your profile (and couldn't even if we wanted to), the system did that as per the digital license. Many thanks for the single color suggestion we meant to load one but must have forgotten in our excitement to release this awesome design!
