Repeating Matchstick Gun

Full printable functional Toy.

It shoots 4 matches quick in a row with Pump action to reload.

You need just a rubber band and a piece of tape.

If you have no machstick around, i added a printable ammunition.😃

It shots awesome with good rubber band!

In the video i used a little cut from Thera Band Gold with a shrink tube.

Printing:

Printed all parts in PLA+ other materials should work as well.

There are small pieces! Clean build plate and add some glue-stick!

Layer height 0,2 works well

Assembly:

All needed parts
Important because of friction! Cut a piece of tape and roll one rotation around the rubber. You can use shrink tubing if you try with open loops and knot the rubber later.
Ready…Rubber Band with tape
Insert the trigger and the spring in a half body

Put the other side of the body on top
Slide the rubber band and the repertoire lever in.
Straddle the thin piece from the body to push over the front cap. The front cap clamps the rubber as well!
Slide the front cap into the grooves and adjust the rubber. You can wrap around several times if needed.
Load the sticks as shown..ready

You can use the really good additional Hammer for Matchstick Gun from andre.bar as well! https://makerworld.com/models/115826

Additional HAMMER => It's easier to install the rubber-band and it shots awesome!

Don`t shot on human or animals it could hurt!

Happy printing!😃👍

Bravo ! Brilliant and effective little toy! I am not able to edit stl files. Would it be possible for you to make some modifications? - a little more angle at the spring. (the last 2 matches fall easily!) - hollow out the top of the arm piece to accommodate the elastic. - cut the top end of the bodysuit to make room for the elastic (single or double). I machined my version with a heated file :) The hammer broked many times... I don't see any solution ! Thank you so much.

printed it in a single plate with my ams. it's smaller than I thought. the pole holding the trigger broke right away

Yes, it's very tiny but that was my challenge. Tip it is recommended to wind tape around the rubber or use the hammer mod for good functionality. kind regards

Cool little thing. printed it in silk pla but that filament must be too brittle because the pole acting as cantilever for the trigger broke super quickly. I'll have to try using pla+ or something more durable.

Yep Silk Filament is not the best choice. PLA+ and PETG works fine

Good model and it works good in PLA ! Also you might need some thick rubber bands to avoid breaking if you want to play a lot

this thing is absolutely awesome and it satisfies my Pyro wants just make sure you print the hammer mod too or else it will be alot worse and harder to cock just dip the matches in hand sanitizer and then use a lighter to light and fire away!

Amazing toy and brilliant mechanics! The only issue I experienced was the tape on a rubber thing. Tried multiple tapes but none of them worked well or last long. 😅 So I ended up making a printed part for a hammer. https://makerworld.com/models/115826 🤓

Yes you are right, thats the weak part! Very cool you designed something for that. I will review and honor that next week. Iam on short vacation. Thank you

On the other side you can try it with small shrink tubing. For me that works very good. In the video i used a little cutted stripe from Thera Band Gold(amazing powerful rubber) and a shrink tubing for diameter around 3. Greetings

Yes, I know. Was also one of ideas I tried yesterday. Turned to be litle tricky so I slightly burned the rubber band :)) Another disadvantage of shrinktube is its awailability in a regular household. 🤷‍♂️
