Description

Introduction

This solution is a real Columbus egg, for those who do not know the explanation, here it is

Egg of Columbus - Wikipedia

  • This will make you know when the reservoir is full of waste, by dropping out;
  • it has an embedded and calibrated way to support a certain weight (about 2 Kg of poop)
    • but can be increased or decreased, depending on the number of magnets;
  • You don't have to pick up the wastes (poop's) from the floor, it will be ready to recycle in a bag;
  • no changes to the printer;
  • works on P1 series and X1 series
  • Super lightweight and easy to implement.
  • And finally, it reduces the fan noise coming from the escape gate of the flushing waste, and it is noticeable.

Surely you will ask, how is this all possible? It must be something very complex!? No, it's not.

The curious thing is, it seems that no one has done so yet. But now that the solution has been shown, it seems simple and obvious. And that's why I mentioned the famous “Columbus egg”.

Material

Assembly instructions

Open the bag fully, insert opening of the bag on the retaining ring, then insert the bag and the retaining ring on the circular part of the funnel. The retaining ring should fix the bag.

Glue the magnets (I think they will not fall, but just to be on the safe side

Insert the garbage bag on the round part of the funnel. Verify that it is open.

Insert the retaining ring.

Then all you have to do, is to put it on the machine, be sure to align with the lip with the escape hole of the machine.

A user suggested a rubber band… if it is strong enough and the bag does not slip, it can be an option.

My second attempt at a functioning chute. I’m actually very pleased with the tight fit and luckily my wife had magnets to fit. unfortunately I did split it across a layer when putting some magnets in, but since nobody is going to see it I busted out the super glue and calling it good. Awesome design! Thanks!!

Nice design, prints ok but raft on bottom face left a sketchy finish. Cleaned up and waiting for magnets to arrive to fit up.

that finish will be hidden. and the magnets are not flushed to that surface, so I think you will not have problems. then let me know

Replying to @JorgeRui :
the crappy matte filament I used didn’t form the magnet holes well and it was a mess. I opted to cheat and slice just the plate section with the magnet holes up, glued that to the original face and it functions perfectly 😂

This model printed fine but the model is not worth your time. This caused more clogs than it solved. I ended up printing the original holder that came with the tubes and the problems went away. If it isn't broke, don't remix it!

I think you may have posted the review on the wrong model? This isn't a remix of anything.
