Description

Easy to print treasure chest. Bottom and lid hinge snaps together with a little bit of force.

Small treasure chest is 20mm wide and was designed to hold baby teeth for the tooth fairy.

Medium treasure chest is 120mm wide.

Easy to print with no supports required.

Printed both sizes in CookieCad Pixie Dust PLA and I’m a little obsessed with the tiny one. Had to be a little forceful to get the larger one together - I appreciate the heads up about that in the description! The closure is very satisfying now, feels secure. The tiny one will be great for little rolled up fortunes or love notes. The larger one (still relatively small) is living on my desk now full of sewing pins.

Very cool. Too bad for the visible layers as the lid is printed head down. I didn't want to add support to keep a clean surface.

Cute fast and deceptively small I don’t know what you would throw in the tiny one, but I ended up scaling it up And reprinting it. My daughters loved both of them and they worked right off the plate. Nice.

Ok. So then.. where does the tooth fairy leave the money when they take the tooth?

the tooth fairy takes the tooth and the treasure chest and leaves the money in its place. Hence the point of an easily printable chest. I need a bunch of them.

extremely difficult to open and close. I did scale mine up a bit, but I ended up having to cut off some pieces in order for it to easily open and shut

I only tested it at the sizes I submitted the models at. I could see based on the interference fit that scalling it up may make it difficult to open and close.

Great print. I printed both sizes in GITD filament and use it with some action figure skeletons

Strength Issue:seems really easy to break the latch at the front to hold it closed. I printed twice at different sizes and both broke within the first few uses.
