Description

“THE CUTTER” is my answer for a filament and PTFE Tube cutter! It's a one-stop-chop shop, all-in-one cutting machine! No need to look for sissors only to get less than an ideal cut. This will cut your filament at 90 or 45 degrees and your PTFE Tube at 90 degrees.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Cuts both Filament and PTFE Tube
  • Spring-loaded for fast and easy cutting
  • 90 and 45 degree for filament cutting
  • 90 degreee for PTFE Tube
  • Uses hardware you likely already have!
  • Less than 60 cents of filament required

HARDWARE REQUIRED

  • Two springs from ballpoint pens
  • Two of the long screws used by Bambu Labs for shipping your P1 and X1 printers (29.80mm long x 2.33mm diameter at the shank).
  • One Bambu Lab Scrapper Blade and the two screws included with the scraper blade

ASSEMBLY

CAUTION: The scraper blade is extremely sharp and care must be given when installing the blade. It is your responsibility to use proper care to avoid injury.

  1. Install the scraper blade using extreme caution. Install the blade so the two holes are oriented correctly paying close attention to properly align the screw holes that secure the blade.
  2. Once the two screw holes are aligned insert and tighten the two scraper blade screws. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
  3. Install the two long screws in the base of “The Cutter”. You may need to lightly tap these in place as the tolerances are very tight. Once the screws are past the threads the screws will be ‘captured’ in place.
  4. Install the two ballpoint pen springs on the two long screws, making sure they are correctly seated in the base.
  5. Install the top of “The Cutter” ensuring the springs are positioned in the spring pockets and compress the top until it fully seats.
  6. Tighten the long screws until they are 1-2mm below the bottom surface of “The Cutter”
  7. Operate “The Cutter” making sure there is no binding of the springs and the blade is not seen in the PTFE hole.
  8. That's it! Time to cut some filament and PTFE Tube!
