Description

A simple nesting bracket that can serve as a laptop stand on a Stryde bike. This takes advantage of the fact that the Stryde handlebars are already relatively flat and sturdy. The bracket is fairly minimal to still enable the rider to use the handlebars while biking.

I printed this model in PETG for added sturdiness over PLA and to handle stresses of the bike. But I would recommend trying it out in PLA first to get a sense of the fit for your laptop.

I designed this to accommodate a 14.125" x 9.375" HP laptop, though it should fit longer. Laptops less than 13" long or 9" wide likely won't fit well.

The design relies on the laptop back corners being in contact with the handlebars to ensure laptop stability. Thus, narrower laptops will likely not be stable with this design.

My Macbook which is 12" x 8.5" does not work well with this, as the cross-bar bracket is designed to rest on the thinner part of the bottom handlebar, meaning they need to sit further apart (11" apart). Also, because it's a bit smaller, it's back-weighted towards the screen, meaning it doesn't stay flat, nor are the back corners supported by the handlebars for stability.

My Stryde bike has a weird quirk where it seems like the handlebars may not be entirely symmetric. So, the model includes two support crossbars, one that is 12mm shorter than the other. If you don't have this issue on your bike, just duplicate the longer crossbar.
