Description

Summary

Update side corner flat as of 1/28/2024 as final ver. to adopt 1st gen AMS with no error.

As you may aware the width of eSUN spoolless refill paper roll is about 5mm less than Bambu Reusable Spool width. This makes 5mm range ditch and causes so terrible dropout filament issue during printing, in worst case you need to waste full of filament bunch!

BUT to make full printing spool makes no sense. It just wasts 100-300g of filament with not so short printing time. Also almost all the adaptors does not care 4 filament ties! WHY?

Then I made this half spool like adaptor for Bambu Reusable Spool with 4 filament ties management, 65g/1.5hour printing. It is fully fit and functional no jamming with AMS.

Which spool did you try and how does my print not fit? I am sure that Bambu lab has not change their spool because of their business model they can not make it without any official EOL announcement, and my design was tested with several numbers of their spool including thermal resistance one and normal one. So I am very curious to understand for further improvements of my design.

the spool was to thigt on the bambu spool and the cartboard spool of the filament was much smaller

Thank you for your input :), I assume spool vs converter itself is the matter of shrinkage factor of filament. BTW your comment seems like you put eSun cardboard spool onto this converter and if my understanding is correct, it is not the purpose of this converter and hope you can change or remove your feedback on the profile would be reasonable(in only the case my understanding is correct and also based on your choice, no way to enforce) The reason why I assume something wrong and want to confirm was that the spool size of both eSun refill and Bambu spool they have not been changed from original when they released because if they do the spec change that makes more unreasonable inventory control required. Also if the cardboard spool whole diameter is just the same as eSun refill it works as I am actually using it onto this converter(Elegoo cheaper filaments have good fit!), but multiple cases the diameter of cardboard spools are not the same too big and small. So I guess which one works for which is the matter.

Prints great. I'm using up some stray filament before my next eSun order, and it's great for that, too =)
