Description

Summary

When installing this part, you will need 2 - 3 small Zip Ties to have the maximum benefit from this model.

2 Zip Ties go to the T-Mount. 1 Zip Tie I installed on the base if the Vista's antenna to prevent it from being pulled. I have a tendency to lift my quad on the antenna, when the antenna is the closest thing to me. So I needed to take precautions for that. You might get away without that... but I like my stuff secure :-) (I put pictures of my installation in.. well.. the pictures).

Since the antenna head is conical, I have let in a corresponding conical recess in the lead. Thus, the mushroom head holds much better than on a flat structure.

I used TraxFPV's design for quite a while on my build and really liked it.
However, there where but 2 tiny imperfections I did not like (for my use case), though.
And I was finally able to adress it:

a)
I use the Caddx Vista with a Polar antenna. My SMA antenna isn't stif but a wee wobbly cable. I had to secure it with several zip ties inside his mount for the mushrom top not to wiggle too much or pop out of the huge hole.

b)
The TBS CRSF Mount bent my Immortal T antenna in a weird angle at the T, as there was no opening for the base.

I therefore added a lead for the antenna with a big enough diameter to lead the SMA mount throug and stiff enough to keep the antenna secure.
Added benefit: The longer lead means you have less spare antenna cable to cramp in the Quads back. I therefore made the lead 5-6 cm. Feel free to shorten at will :-)

I also "drilled" out a path for the "T" part not to be bent towards the quad. It does sit more comfortably now.

The pole fits for uFL connectors to pass through.
If you want to pass bigger connectors, you can always cut a line through (with either a knife or an app) the pole and later close it with zip ties. If you use zip ties with pretty colors it might even look good.

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Good flight.

Notes:

I did angle the print in a way so that the Pole pointed straight up.
This way the pole prints as pretty as possible and supports are only on the bottom, thus the support's scaring will not be invisible.
